Inspired by Ocrùm

The New York-based design studio, Ocùm, has become known for creating furniture, lighting, mirrors and decorative accessories with a timeless yet contemporary aesthetic.

Ocrùm draws inspiration from both vivid memories and the miracle of time, combining classic sensibility with bold innovation and Italian craftsmanship.
The collection takes inspiration from Creative Director Sean Zhang, who is known for his intuitive design sensitivity, attention to detail and minimalist lifestyle. All his works are linked by a poetic story that evokes the spontaneity of life itself.

Zhang studied at the Polytechnic University of Milan, Italy, and his adventure with design began with product design courses.
He then moved to the United States where he obtained a Master's Degree in Industrial Design from the Rhode Island School of Design
He kept reminiscing about his time in Italy which ignored the passion behind the craftsmanship in it.
At RISD, he dealt with ceramics, textiles, wood and blown glass, with time he came up with an idea that turned into Ocrùm, combining his living experiences with one of the world's most master craftsmen and creating items that are equally stunning what's refreshing.

Ocrùm's works have been featured in such international publications as Elle Decor Italia, Interior Design Magazine, Surface Magazine, Metropolis etc.
