Sunbrella is based on the belief that fabrics should be both beautiful and functional. We started in the 1960s with the challenge of creating an awning fabric that lasts much longer than cotton. Production

Sunbrella fabrics are manufactured in factories around the world. Our main production facility is a 1 million square foot facility in South Carolina, USA. Located in Anderson, South Carolina, this facility has fully vertical, ISO 9001 and 14001 certified manufacturing facilities, an R&D center and test lab. This facility created the blueprint for our plants in Lille, France and Suzhou, China, manufacturing locations that allow us to best serve our customers in these regions. Sunbrella is always manufactured to the same standards and delivered when you need it, anywhere in the world.

Research & Development

Our R&D department is constantly pushing the boundaries of this which is possible thanks to Sunbrella fabrics. Research and development is at the forefront of our efforts to further improve and refine the strength properties of Sunbrella fabrics. The R&D department is also developing solutions for new textile design, construction and applications to meet market demands for the highest quality textiles.

Designers

The Sunbrella design team operates in the United States and Europe. This group of seasoned textile designers brings a variety of industry expertise and is actively involved in designing stock collections, collaborative collections, and developing custom collections. Sunbrella designers travel a lot to gather information on trends, design analysis and color predictions - knowledge that they share with our manufacturing partners to bring the latest interior design solutions, innovative colors and nautical styles to market.
