Inspired by Woodnotes

Woodnotes is a Finnish design company founded in 1987 by textile designer Ritva Puotil and her son Mikko Puotil. The company is still owned by its founders. The original concept of Woodnotes products was to combine artistic creativity inspired by the raw nature of Finland with the advanced technologies of shaping Finnish raw materials: wood and paper textiles. Ritva Puotila wanted to use paper yarn for its properties - to make the most of its unique properties and not as a substitute for other materials.

The Woodnotes collection, which has evolved over the years from paper yarn carpets to a comprehensive concept , is supplemented every year with new, relevant and innovative products.

Woodnotes products are known all over the world for their elegant design and excellent quality. The company currently exports 70% of its production to over 40 countries. Woodnotes products are sold in exclusive interior and design stores. Woodnotes products have won many international awards.
