Tobias Grau is a German brand specializing in the design and production of interior lighting fixtures. Tobias Grau opened his interior design office in Hamburg in 1986 and over time began to focus on lighting design. He was successful with the TAI, TWIST, OH, KALLISTO and IO collections launched on the market in 1991; these devices became symbols of his approach to design. Thanks to their sculptural and dynamic forms as well as a discreet and delicate appearance, they pioneered the use of halogen technology combined with classic materials. Despite the company's growth and international success, with over 70 major design awards, including 16 iF awards and 13 Red Dot design awards, the company is still managed by the Grau family. Franziska Grau, the founder's wife, and their sons Timon and Melchior Grau are in the lead as creative directors. Today Tobias Grau has 4 flagship stores in Germany and cooperates with over 1000 partners worldwide. The company employs over 100 employees in an innovative, completely sustainable aluminum and glass building designed by Bothe Richter Teherani, where all lamps are manufactured.
