In its history, the brand boasts three very famous art directors: Luigi Massoni, Antonio Citterio and Piero Lissoni. With them, Boffi has developed a sophisticated range of products that over the years have been able to conquer the international market.

History of Boffi in Italian design The first Boffi craft company was founded in 1934 by Piero Boffi. However, it was not until 1947, when his three sons joined the company, that a real factory was born. In the 1960s, under the direction of the first art director, Luigi Massoni, revolutionary projects took shape, including the Joe Colombo Mini Kitchen, exhibited at the Moma Museum in New York. The premiere of the collection dedicated to the bathroom and the cooperation with Antonio Citterio, who signed the Factory collection, date back to the 1980s. In 1990, Piero Lissoni became the new artistic director. From that moment on, thanks to its business strategy and its creative and innovative wit, the brand began a never-ending entry into the international market, which reached its peak with the prestigious Compasso d'Oro for its career awarded in 1995.

Several flagships. Boffi stores grew up in Italy and around the world, first among foreigners, in Paris. In Italy, the store in Milan, in the Brera district, was the one that perfectly reflected the Boffi style. Kitchens, bathrooms and new wardrobe systems have been displayed to show an example of the versatility and complexity that characterizes the production of Boffi. Parallel to the flourishing of salons of one brand around the world, Boffi has collected many thanks over the years. In 2004, the Cut faucet collection won the Red Dot Design Award, and in 2007, the Table System kitchen, signed by Piero Lissoni, was awarded the Good Design Award. 2010 was the year in which Aboutwater, a collection of bathroom faucets and shower heads, created in collaboration with Boffi and Fantini, was launched. Another great cooperation was the cooperation with De Padova, which resulted in the merger of both brands in one group in 2015. As an excellence in the Italian design scenario, the group was created with the intention of increasing the visibility of each brand and broadening each market to reference all equipment categories in the national and contract domain. In 2017, cooperation was established with the Danish start-up MA / U Studio, a young manufacturer of innovative furniture solutions and shelving systems for the home and office. In recent years, Boffi has also opened up to outdoor equipment, offering a series of products for both indoor and outdoor use.
