Inspired by True Design

Donatella Brunello and Giuseppe Maniero founded True Design in 1983. Its original name was TMA, an acronym for Treviso, Monselice, Asiago, three towns in the Veneto region known for the production of office furniture. Initially, the company focused on seating for offices, theaters and cinemas. Then, in 2009, the brand took a new direction with Alessandro, Lorenzo and Francesco Maniero by establishing True. The result is a company with an international focus, producing high-quality furniture and accessories for the workplace. In 2014, the company entrusted its creative direction to Aldo Parisotto, co-founder and owner of Parisotto + Formenton Architetti. Its goal, in cooperation with young and recognized designers, was to develop a new way of arranging offices, closer to home comforts, and to develop furniture that would fit this idea. This furniture responds to new behaviors and habits thanks to great attention to design, comfort, functionality, natural and quality materials, personalization and a color palette that reflects current trends. Among the first products created under the artistic direction of Aldo Parisotto are hybrid facilities for offices and public spaces, such as the modular Millepiedi bench system, inspired by Giorgio Morandi's pastel and muted tones. Designed with large surfaces in mind, Millepiedi combines basic design with stringent material combinations, offering a wide variety of configurations and dimensions. After being included in the ADI 2016 Design Index, Millepiedi has evolved over the years, introducing features such as the new multi-functional indoor and outdoor island system presented in 2020.

Before the pandemic revolutionized the work environment, True Design addressed the issue of smart working with furniture that creates space for living and working. The Arca armchairs and smaller seating units for waiting rooms and "smart lounges" by Orlandini Design use different backrest heights and different bases (with wheels, trestles and rocking version) to suit different needs and contexts. The Clara range of upholstered seats with wraparound shapes was designed by Parisotto + Formenton. With Sho seating furniture - designed by Favaretto & Partners - True Design proposes an armchair that can be extended to a two- or three-seater sofa.
